LEED Workshop Study Series

Mike Lubbehusen, a mechanical engineer at Primary Engineering, has been selected to be a presenter in the Fort Wayne LEED Study Series that is being offered at the Allen County Library during February and March of 2008. This study series is a joint effort by the Fort Wayne ASHRAE Chapter and Northeast Indiana Green Build.


South Bend Airport

The regional airport located in South Bend, Indiana will be expanding it’s facility with a new terminal that will triple it’s gate capacity and allow for larger jets to service this community. The expansion will utilize several Green technologies to reduce energy usage such as daylight harvesting with lighting controls, geothermal heating and cooling systems that will also provide snow melting of pedestrian walks using geothermal water to water units.

Mike Lubbehusen – President of Fort Wayne ASHRAE Chapter

The Fort Wayne chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has elected Michael Lubbehusen, PE as their President for the 2007-2008 year. He has previously acted as Secretary and Vice President. During his tenure as Vice President, the chapter was named the “Best Chapter in the World” by achieving the highest ever recorded point total for the Presidential Award Of Excellence with over 32,000 chapter points.


Fort Wayne Medical Education

A new medical office for the Fort Wayne Medical Resident program is planned and Primary Engineering will be the design engineering firm for this project. The new facility will be located in downtown Fort Wayne adjacent to St. Joseph Hospital.


Kosciusco 21st Century Foundation

Primary Engineering has been engaged to provide engineering services in conjunction with a new facility for the K21 foundation of Kosciusco County in Warsaw Indiana.

Carroll High School

In conjunction with a $50 million renovation and additions to Carroll High School, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Primary Engineering has been selected as the engineering firm that will design the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology systems for the project.  This project was bid in the fall of 2007 and came in well below budget, allowing the school to accept all alternates.  Construction is expected to be complete in the Summer of 2010.

Fort Wayne ASHRAE names Mike Lubbehusen “Man of the Year”

Michael Lubbehusen, principal mechanical engineer, was recently elected as President-Elect for the Fort Wayne chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).  He has previously acted as the chapter Secretary and was honored with the chapter’s “Man of the Year” award for his dedication to the development of the chapter and serving the HVAC industry.


Bremen Schools

Bremen Schools located in Northern Indiana will be renovating and adding on to the existing combined high school/middle school/elementary school building and Primary Engineering, Inc. has been engaged to provide the mechanical and electrical engineering services for this project.  This will be a $13 million project.
