HVAC Systems

HVAC Systems

Our approach to designing an HVAC plant includes an evaluation and analysis of what the specific needs and attributes of each project include. Not every system is the best for every client or every building. We focus on listening to the unique needs of the end users to design a system that maximizes efficiency, minimizes maintenance costs, fits within the budget constraints, meets the life cycle requirements, and provides the flexibility that the Owner needs. Some projects require complex systems that are very efficient but require high skill level maintenance staff while others require simple technology that can be maintained by outside contractors with less complexity. We also strive to specify the best control systems to optimize operation of the plant with appropriate degrees of complexity for the owner’s needs.

Our experience with systems includes a wide array of approaches that includes:

  • Boiler plants
  • Chiller plants
  • Central station air handlers
  • Heat pumps
  • Packaged equipment
  • Variable refrigerant flow
  • Chilled beams
  • Campus distributions
  • Digital controls
  • Energy recovery systems
